PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a wheel bearing device compact and lightweight and to ensure excellent assemblage. SOLUTION: This wheel bearing device has an outer ring 10 having double rows of raceway surfaces 11 at the inner periphery; a hub ring 20 having a wheel mounting flange 23 and a first raceway surface 22 at the outer periphery; an inner ring 30 having a second raceway surface 31 at the outer periphery; double rows of rolling elements 40 interposed between the double rows of raceway surfaces 11 and the first and second raceway surfaces 22, 31; and an outer coupling member 51 of a constant velocity universal coupling 50 with a step part 55 connected to the hub ring 20 through a serration 61. In this wheel bearing device, the inner ring 30 is press-fixed to the outer peripheral surface of the outer coupling member 51, in the state of butting an inboard side end part of the hub ring 20.
