PURPOSE: To provide a printing head having an orifice plate wholly comprising a plastic or a combination of a metal and a plastic and a method for producing the same. CONSTITUTION: A plastic layer 14 having an opening part 20 is formed on the photoresist 12 of a dummy substrate 10 and an insulating barrier layer 22 having an opening part 32 is formed on the plastic layer 12 and a membrane resistor substrate having a heater resistor 36 is formed thereon. The openings 20, 30 are formed by using a mask and positionally aligned with the resistor 36. Finally, the photoresist 12 and the dummy substrate 10 are removed to complete a head. |
