PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compose a rice transplanter for rationally lifting, lowering and operating a seedling planting device interlockingly with steering operations of front wheels. SOLUTION: This paddy field working machine is obtained by setting the control operation of a controller so as to start the lifting of the seedling planting device A when the steering angle of front wheels measured with a steering sensor attains a lifting starting angle (α) and start the lowering of the seedling planting device A when the steering angle of the front wheels exceeds a control changeover angle (γ) set at a larger angle than the lifting starting angle (α) after the lifting and then lowers to a lowering starting angle (β).
