PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide paper that retains the functions as paper and can perfectly combust without emission of harmful substance, even when it is incinerated after being used. SOLUTION: The objective paper includes 0.1-20 wt.% of an iron compound catalyst that comprises hydrated iron oxide particles or iron oxide particles with an average particle size of 0.01-2.0μm in which the iron compound catalyst is a powdery iron oxide prepared by heating iron compound catalyst in the air at 800 deg.C for 15 minutes to prepare an iron oxide power, and has a catalytic activity that >=15% of carbon monoxide can be converted to carbon dioxide under the condition of SV=42,400 h-1, when 2.8×10-4 mol of the iron oxide is used in a pulse type catalytic reactor to bring the catalyst into contact with 6.1×10-7 mole of carbon monoxide in an inert gas atmosphere at 250 deg.C. |
