PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the mounting area of a connector on a base board. SOLUTION: The mounting part 4 of a housing 1 is configured so that contacts 3 can be mounted, at least with the pressure contact part 17 exposed. A slider 2 to be mounted to the housing 1 has a cover part 25 moving along the mounting part 4 from a non-confronting position with the pressure contact part 17 to the confronting position within the occupation range of the housing 1, and in the confronting position, putting a flat cable in pressure contact with the part 17.
