PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a proper track jump which anticipates a passage amount due to the rotation of a disk, by a method wherein an estimated passage amount by which a landing position is passed from a target position due to the rotation of the disk during a track jump movement up to the target position from a present position is calculated, and the estimated passage amount is reflected to the number of jump tracks in a track jump. SOLUTION: When a track jump from a present position A up to a target position B is executed, an estimated passage amount by which a landing position is passed from the target position due to the rotation of a disk during a track jump movement is calculated. The number of track jumps is set by using the estimated passage amount. For example, as the track jump up to the traget position B which is by five tracks away from the present position A, the track jump of four tracks is executed. As a result, the landing position C does not exceed the target position, and the target position B can be reached without executing the track jump again in order to correct the landing position C after a landing operation.
