PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a load of processing required for executing processing of rewinding relative to a data row formed by lining up data in the order of the time and memorized in a storage medium. SOLUTION: Automatic performance data of a musical composition memorized in a floppy disc are read out in the order of the time through an FDD 22. In this case, concerning each performance data of read-out musical composition data, a CPU 11 houses in a RAM 14, a reading-out pointer for indicating a memory position in the floppy disc, corresponding to the appearance time of the performance data in automatic performance of the musical composition. Reading-out in the order of the time, of data from the order traced back in the order of the time in the musical composition data as much as the time based on an operation duration of an indication operation executed to a switch 18 from the performance data which are being read out, is executed by utilizing the information, to restart automatic performance.
