PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charger which has enhanced the handiness in use by enabling the accessory function to operate immediately without waiting until a secondary battery is charged to the operation level of a camera. SOLUTION: This is a charger which charges a secondary battery 30 built in a digital camera 301. In this case, this possesses an accessory means (a printer 314 and a printer part control circuit 313) which operates by the communication with the camera, and a charging circuit 311 which charges the secondary battery 303, and this charges the secondary battery 303 by the charge circuit 311 when coupled with the digital camera 301, and also supplies the digital camera 301 with power directly so as to enable the operation of the accessory means.
