PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retrieve information on a communication line without interrupting work on a software or being affected by the situation of the communication line by designating the character string of a word (keyword) to be checked, starting communication equipment by depressing a retrieval key, retrieving information on the communication line, displaying a retrieval result and using it on the software. SOLUTION: When a keyword is designated by an input part 2 and retrieval 3 is depressed, communication software registered in a storage device 1 and a modem 10 are started, and they are connected to a communication line via a communication line connection part 12, a connection cable 13 and a portable telephone set 14. Retrieval software registered in the storage device 1 is started. The keyword is inputted to retrieval software, and retrieval is started from information on the communication line. When retrieval 3 is depressed, a retrieval result is displayed. An arbitrary item is designated from the list, information (a home page) is accessed, and the home page is displayed. |
