PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce eddy currents induced in a grid electrode and incidental energy losses, when applying a high-frequency magnetic field produced by a VM coil (a high-frequency coil) from the outside of an electron gun. SOLUTION: This receiver has the electron gun 6 inserted into a neck 4 of a cathode-ray tube bulb and a VM coil 8 placed at the outer periphery of the neck 4 at the outside of the electron gun 6. In this case, a part of a fourth grid electrode G4 positioned at the inside of the VM coil 8 is formed of a nonmetallic part (ceramic) 9, having high resistance compared to metals.
