PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof plug equipped with an enhanced dimensional stability hardly making plastic deformation at the time of releasing from the dieeven when the plug is formed through molding from a material having a low elastic stress limit value, for example a thermoplastic elastomer resin. SOLUTION: The waterproof plug has an electric wire insertion hole 12 and a cylindrical thick part 13 surrounding the hole and is molded using dies 21 and 22 in such a way that the penetrating direction of the hole 12 is identical to the die removing direction, wherein a ring-shaped projection 15 extending in the circumferential direction crossing the die removing direction is formed on at least either of the inside and outside circumferential surfaces of the cylindrical thick part 13. It may also be accepted that the ring-shaped projection 15 is formed on only one of the inside and outside surfaces of the cylindrical thick part 13 while the other is left a surface 14 straight in the die removing direction.
