PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil that is fit to make thinner and does not need insert- molding although in former times a coil, especially for EL driver, had a structure, wherein a magnetic core and a terminal were inserted in a resin and further it was necessary for the terminal to male thicker to some degree in respect of strength, so that finished dimension was larger and high cost of a metal mold and large number of man-hour were required for insert molding of the resin in manufacture. SOLUTION: A wire is wound on what is made by bonding two terminal plates 14 provided with a terminal 14a and a branch part 14b for connecting a winding end 3, to a flange 11a of a magnetic core 11 with bonding agent 15, and end-process is performed in this structure so that the thickness of a component is made thinner because there is no resin layer. After mounting on a circuit board, the whole body is buried in sealing resin, so that the terminal 14a is made thinner and the thickness of the component is made further thinner. For manufacture, a lead frame wherein the terminal plate 14 is connected to a belt member is made by cut and carry press working, and then the magnetic core 11 is bonded thereto and punched out, and then a wire is wound, so that superior productivity is obtained.
