摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an increase in transmission loss occurring in the temperature change of a sheath by providing the above cable with a cable body embedded with one optical fiber and two steel wires arranged to hold this optical fiber at its center within the sheath and providing the steel wires with enamel coating layers. SOLUTION: The cable body 1 comprises the sheath 3 consisting of a plastic polyvinyl chloride resin, a piece of the coated optical fiber 4 arranged at the center of this sheath 3 and two pieces of the steel wires 5 and 5 symmetrically arranged across this coated optical fiber 4. The enamel coating layers are formed on the surfaces of the two steel wires 5 and 5 and the adhesion between the steel wires 5 and 5 and the sheath 3 is adequately regulated by the enamel coating layers. The enamel coating layers consisting of 15 to 50 wt.% urethane resin and 50 to 85 wt.% epoxy resin are preferable. The increase of the transmission loss occurring in the temperature change of the sheath may be suppressed by changing their weight ratios.
