The side-car (10) comprises a propulsion unit (20) located transversely between the two rear wheels (16,18) and carried by the rear part of the passenger side chassis. The differential mechanism is connected to a first half shaft (26) with a universal joint which directly drives the left rear wheel (16). A second half shaft (28) drives the other right rear wheel (18) through an auxiliary transmission (30) which distributes the engine torque onto the two rear driving wheels.
