<p>An ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) is disclosed. The UHMWPE has a weight average molecular weight (Mw) greater than about 3,000,000 and molecular weight distribution less than about 5. A process for making the UHMWPE is also disclosed. The process is performed with a heteroatomic ligand-containing single-site catalyst in the presence of a non-alumoxane activator, but in the absence of an α-olefin, an aromatic solvent, and hydrogen.</p> |
