<p>An initial magnetic pole estimating device for an ac synchronous motor (11), which is capable of estimating an accurate initial magnetic pole in a short time and is provided in an ac synchronous motor controlling device, and which comprises a speed gain control unit, a mode sector judging means (102), a first instruction torque computing means (1103) that selects first or second period sector according to the result from the mode sector judging means (102), and, when the first period sector (1101) is selected, judges whether or not an instruction speed is in a data acquiring speed sector and computes a first instruction torque data from an instruction torque in the data acquiring speed sector, a second instruction torque computing means (1203) that, when the second period sector (1201) is selected, judges whether or not an instruction speed is in a data acquiring speed sector and computes a second instruction torque data from an instruction torque in the data acquiring speed sector, and an estimated initial magnetic pole computing means for computing an estimated initial magnetic pole position using information in the first instruction torque data and the second instruction torque data.</p> |
