REFLECTION PLATE, REFLECTION TYPE POLARIZING PLATE AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE UTILIZING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflection type liquid crystal display device capable of obtaining a screen having brightness and good visibility even though the device is viewed from the angle at which reflection of external light is avoided and to provide a reflection plate and a reflection type polarizing plate for it. SOLUTION: This reflection plate 1 has a first mixture layer including particulates and resin, a metal layer and 3 second mixture layer including particulates and resin laminated on a substrate in this order and has the distribution of reflected light quantity with the maximum reflected light quantity at an angle deviating from the regular reflection angle (θ1) by 5 deg. or more in the curve of the dependence of the reflected light intensity on the reflection angle about the incident light 2 in one direction. The reflection plate 1 and a polarizing plate are laminated to form this reflection type polarizing plate. Further, the reflection plate or the reflection type polarizing plate and a liquid crystal cell are combined to form this reflection type liquid crystal display device.
