<p>A method and apparatus for addressing a plurality of data packets which are to be multiplexed and transmitted. If the data packet already contains a unique address which can be identified during the demultiplexing at the receiving side, then a header is added to the data packet which contains information for decompressing the unique address at the receiving side. If the data packet does not contain a unique address which can be identified during demultiplexing at the receiving side, then a header is added to the data packet which includes a unique address to be used for routing by the receiving.</p> |
