<p>The object of the present invention enhances the operatability in the process of specifying the settings of paper input and paper output by means of a printer driver. The technique causes a Properties dialog box DB1 to be displayed on a display. The dialog box DB1 includes an image P1, which is an icon schematically illustrating the appearance of a printer, a paper input settings display box P2 showing information relating to paper input to the printer, and a paper output settings display box P3 showing information relating to paper output from the printer to be displayed in a mutually correlating manner with indication lines L11 through L16 and L21 through L31. Namely the technique of the invention does not require the user to switch over the card when the user carries out both the settings of paper input and the settings of paper output. The paper input settings display box P2 has radio buttons a5 corresponding to one tray and five cassettes. The user clicks one of the radio buttons a5 to select a desired input paper holder. The paper output settings display box P3 has checkboxes a8 corresponding to ten bins and one tray. The user clicks one of the checkboxes a8 to select a desired output paper holder. <IMAGE></p> |
