PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a fixed interval between rings to obtain stable perfor mance by disposing a spacer of an elastic body having a fixed width between the rings before a chain is embedded in the elastic body, as for a chain having at least a longitudinal part of the chain embedded in the elastic body. SOLUTION: Rings 2 adjacent to each other to form a chain 1 are placed at a fixed interval, and at least a longitudinal part of this chain 1 is embedded in an elastic body 3 such as rubber, synthetic resin and the like. In this case, the fixed interval between the adjacent rings is maintained by fitting a spacer 4 of the elastic body having a fixed shape between the adjacent rings 2 before the chain 1 is embedded in the elastic body 3. The spacer 4 used is formed by providing unvulcanized rubber 6 around vulcanized rubber 5, and the interval between the rings can be easily adjusted by its plasticity. If the spacer 4 is made of synthetic resin or a foamed body of synthetic resin in particular, a product can be lightened.
