PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve workability by providing a resistor of which the upper and lower faces are opened and which encloses a filling material of the back face of the block body at the side face, at the back face of the block body of the front face of the retaining wall. SOLUTION: The wall face block is constituted of a concrete block body 1 covering the retaining wall front face, and a resistor 1 provided at the back of the concrete block body. In this resistor 2, a sheet member 22 is spread on a U-shaped frame body 21 for instance, and both ends are fixed to the fitting parts 11 of the block 1, and the back side of the block 1 is surrounded at only the side face to open the upper and lower faces. When constructing the wall face block structure, the blocks 1 are arranged at the front face of the retaining wall, a filler such as sand or the like is charged in the resistor 2 and the resistor 2 is embedded in an embankment layer, or the upper face of the resistor is opened and the back side of the block body is covered with the side face and the bottom face. In this way, concentration of stresses can be avoided. Hence, damage in a conventional plane reinforcement member can be prevented. Further, as it can be formed to be lightweight and small-sized, it can be easily constructed and also transported. Moreover, the dimensions of the resistant body can be changed and the wall thickness can be appropriately selected in accordance with a local site conditions.
