PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a dielectric porcelain composition having a relatively high specific dielectric constant, a sufficiently high no-load quality factor and a low absolute value of temperature coefficient of resonance frequency. SOLUTION: This dielectric porcelain composition is represented by the formula xMTiO3-(1-x)Ca(M11/2M21/2)O3 [where M1 is Ga and/or Al, M2 is Nb and/or Ta, M is RE (La and/or Sm) and Na in an RE to Na molar ration of 1 and 0/2<x<0.9]. When the kinds of elements and the range of (x) are further specified, much superior dielectric characteristics are provided to the dielectric porcelain composition. Powdery starting materials are wet-mixed and calcined in the air and the calcined product is mixed with a binder, or the like, granulated, compacted in a column shape under 10-20 MPa pressure, subjected to CIP processing and fired in the air to obtain the objective dielectric porcelain composition. |
