PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a decrease in a concentration in the cases of double-sided printing by an ink jet and to improve striking through by incorporating cationic compounds in ink absorption layers on both surfaces of a support having an opacity specified according to JIS P 8138 of a specific numeric value or more. SOLUTION: Opacity specified according to JIS P 8138 in a support of the ink jet recording sheet is set to 94% or more, and it is particularly best to set the opacity to 96 to 100%. If the opacity is less than 94%, an image of one side is easily seen through from an opposite surface. As the support having the opacity of 94% or more, a white plastic film, a cloth or the like can be used, and the opacity of 94% or more is performed by increasing a basis weight of paper or adding a white pigment into the paper. As the compound to be contained in the layers provided on both the surfaces of the support, a cationic polymer is used to prevent bleeding of an image or its diffusion in a direction of the support. |
