<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate relatively many functions relating to comfortability of a vehicle in a steering wheel position, and to easily transmit the functions of high reliability without requiring special expenses about hardwares. SOLUTION: This device for conducting bi-directinal transmision for electric power and information between a steering wheel side and a body side of a self-traveling vehicle is composed of an electric and mechanical rotary transmission device, and plural touch switches 15, 16, 20, 22 integrated with a steering wheel. Interface modules 3, 4 comprising a micro-controller and a bus 6 to conduct mutual communication by the bus 6 is provided in the steering wheel side and the body side. The touch switches 15, 16, 20, 22 are guided to respective corresponding input terminals of the steering wheel side interface module 3, and an output terminal of the body side interface module 4 is guided to a corresponding communcation site. A microphone 19 in the steering wheel side is connected to a hand-free wireless telephone unit 14 in the body side via a terminal provided additionally to the transmition device.</p> |
