PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly transfer an article even under a difficult transferring condition in a transfer conduit by blowing an additional gas into a transfer conduit in order to make a transferring of the article in the transfer conduit well in a device in which the article is transferred in a transfer conduit by gas. SOLUTION: A distribution cross section 4 enlarged is formed on a curved pipe portion 2 of a transfer conduit 1 in which a filter rod 6 is transferred by gas and has a flow upstream end portion 10 curved to a taper shape and a flow downstream end portion 12. A sensor 18 is provided on the transfer conduit 1 at the flow upstream side of this curved pipe portion 2 and a detection signal is inputted to a control device 22. The sensor 18 outputs a control signal to a valve control part 26 for controlling a valve 28 disposed on the transfer conduit 1 in order to carry out a blowing of an additional air into the transfer conduit 1. Thereby, the valve 28 is opened and a certain transferring is ensured by blowing the additional air into the transfer conduit 1 at a rear side of the filter rod 6.
