PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fused polypeptide capable of inducing defensive immunity, and useful for vaccine preparation or the like by constituting the polypeptide from a receptor-bound domain or the like of an exotoxin A component of Pseudomanas. SOLUTION: This fused polypeptide comprises divisions represented by (i) a receptor-bound domain of an exotoxin A component of Pseudomonas, (ii) a membrane-metastasizing domain of the exotoxin A component of the Pseudomonas, (iii) a lipoprotein I of the Pseudomonas, or an antigenic fragment comprising at least 64 amino acid residues thereof, and (iv) an antigenic C- terminal fragment comprising at least 161 amino acid residues of the porin protein F of the Pseudomonas, and obtained by arranging the divisions from the N-terminus to the C-terminus in the order shown before. Preferably, the divisions (i) to (iv) are derived from Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and the fused polypeptide is produced by culturing a host cell transformed by a vector including a nucleic acid encoding the fused polypeptide. The vaccine preparation is preferably prepared by using the polypeptide. |
