VIBRATION-PROOFING APPARATUS FOR SLEEPER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a fear of lift and upward pop-up of an edge of a sleeper from a cover box even if the sleeper is pressed upward due to thermal expansion of a rail. SOLUTION: A cover box 12 encloses the vicinity of each lower edges of a sleeper 11, which is fixed to ballast 13 to support the sleeper 11 on the ballast 13. A side surface vibration insulation pad 14 is interposed between a side wall 11A of the cover box 12 and a side surface of the sleeper 11. A bottom surface vibration isolation pad 15 is interposed between a bottom wall 11B of the cover box 12 and a bottom surface of the sleeper 11. A tie member (bolt) 16 is inserted into the bottom wall 11B of the cover box 12, the bottom surface vibration isolation pad 15, and the sleeper 11 in an almost vertical direction, to thereby tie the cover box 12 and the sleeper 11 together.
