PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide lining body assembling equipment capable of smoothly and stably handling a long-sized liming member on the inside of a narrow existing lining body of a rectangular cross-section or at the rear part of a shield machine, so that the lining body can be efficiently assembled. SOLUTION: A shield machine 1 is provided with a longitudinal moving body 30 movable in the long-side direction via a longitudinal moving mechanism 31 at its rear shell 2b, a shift mechanism 32 provided in the longitudinal moving body 30 and movable in the short-side direction, an axially movable mechanism 33 retractable in the axial direction of a shield, a turanble and rising turning mechanism 34 turnable within a prescribed range making a center of rising axis 38 perpendicular to the axis of the shield, a retaining frame 35 movably and turnably held through an arm turning mechanism 37 turnable around a turning shaft 39 perpendicular to the rising axis 38, and holding devices 36A, 36B provided in the retaining frame 35 for holding the lining member.
