PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the sealability of internal spaces by forming a through hole in an air feed switching piston constituting the valve structure of the at- hand operating part of an endoscope, in such a manner that the through hole is in the form of a rectangle shortened in the stroke direction of the air feed switching piston, without increasing the stroke length of the air feed switching piston. SOLUTION: This air feed valve structure provided at an at-hand operating part is so formed that when a water feed button is pressed one step, the position of a through hole formed in the air feed button is aligned with the position of a through hole 74 formed in an air feed switching piston 50, to form an air feed path. The through hole 74 is so formed that the length of the air feed switching piston 50 in its stroke direction is shorter than its length in a direction perpendicular to the stroke direction.
