PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an inner filler from leaking to the outside of a battery even after the inner pressure rises by sealing an exhaust hole provided on the bottom face of a battery case and communicated with a valve chamber from the inside of a battery chamber with a compressed elastic valve element mounted in the valve chamber formed with the cap-like positive electrode terminal board of a tubular battery and the bottom face of the battery case. SOLUTION: An exhaust hole 10a is provided at a portion facing a valve chamber between the bottom face of a positive electrode can 1 and a cap-like positive electrode terminal board 9 having an exhaust hole 10b for guiding gas to the outside of a battery on the bottom face of the positive electrode can 1 sealed with its opening section by a negative electrode terminal board 6 via a gasket 5. A compressed elastic valve element of nitrile rubber or the like mounted in the valve chamber to exert an explosion-proof function seals the exhaust hole 10a to secure a sealing property even after the inner gas is discharged at a rise of the inner pressure.
