PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of forming an insulation film of proper insulation performance on the surface of a bulb around a positive electrode terminal without attaching insulation coating liquid to the inner side of the positive electrode terminal. SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method of cathode-ray tubes, insulation film forming liquid is sprayed to the surface of a bulb around a cap-shaped positive electrode terminal 11 provided on a cathode-ray tube bulb for forming an insulation film 17. In this case, while gas is sprayed from a gas spray nozzle 30 to the positive electrode terminal 11, the insulation coating liquid is sprayed to the surface of the bulb around the positive electrode terminal 11 from a spray gun 31.
