<p>A metal casting, containing connected pores, is impregnated with a halocarbon resistant barrier resin, consisting essentially of the admixture of a polyester resin, and from about 1 wt. % to about 70 wt. % of a polyfunctional monomer modifier selected from the group consisting of trimethylolpropane triacrylate, divinyl benzene, pentaerythritol triacrylate or their mixtures, which after curing provides a casting which is resistant to chemical and solvent attack by chlorodifluoromethane and dichlorodifluoromethane and which is impervious to gases and liquids.</p> |
