PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the procedures for closure of an upper cover in particular by providing a processing device with a second energizing means capable of holding an oscillation arm member in a full open posture of the upper cover in a developed posture. SOLUTION: The respective energizing forces of the first energizing means and the second energizing means are so set that an expansion and contraction rod member 30 is switched from a shrunk state to an extended state while a stay member 142 is held maintained in a retreatest posture according to the oscillation manipulation of the upper cover 13 from the closure posture to a half open posture and that the stay member 142 is switched from the retreated posture to the extended posture while the expansion and contraction rod member 30 is held maintained in the extended posture according to the oscillation manipulation of the upper cover 13 from the half open posture to the full open posture. Namely, as the upper cover 13 is gradually opened from the closure posture, only the expansion and contraction rod member 30 extends successively little by little while the stay member 142 is held maintained in the retreated posture and the upper cover 13 is put into the half open posture and is stably held in this state when extends completely.
