<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply cope with device changeover even on the occurrence of a more sophisticated fault of a system device group and to relieve a load of a device supervisory unit. SOLUTION: System devices are interconnected as a mesh and the devices are supervised by a method such that supervisory is conducted among the device of a same kind or a check packet is added to a transport stream. In the case of device supervision among the devices of the same kind, on the occurrence of a fault in a device 12, the device 12 sends device information to a standby device 13 and then the faulty device 12 is replaced with the standby device 13. In the case of adding a check packet to a transport stream, on the occurrence of a fault in the device 12, the device 12 multiplexes the device information with the transport stream, transmits the multiplexed stream to the standby device 13 and switches a path for the information after that to change over the device. Similarly, the device configuration can be changed even during operation. Thus, high reliability can be obtained.</p> |
