PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure a stable function over a long period in a backflow preventing apparatus used in the discharge of mixed water with a gas such as ozone by an aspirator set in a water faucet by arranging a backflow preventing rod having a weight and a halved ball placed at both ends and vertically moving with a fulcrum as the axis. SOLUTION: The backflow preventing rod 5 having the weight 6 and the halved ball 3 placed at both ends and vertically moving with a fulcrum 5 as the axis is arranged in a proper position within this backflow preventing apparatus 7. The upper part of the backflow preventing apparatus 7 is connected to an intake pipe 2 having a gas feed port 1 opened therein. Further, the lower part of the backflow preventing apparatus 7 is connected to the discharge port 8 of an aspirator set in the middle of a water pipe 10 having a faucet 11 installed thereto through a connecting pipe 12. The aspirator 9 is operated, and a gas such as ozone sucked through the intake pipe 2 is mixed with the water in the water pipe 10 and released through the faucet 11. The backflow preventing rod 4 is worked by the effect of lever according to the strength of the water flow in the water pipe 10, and the opening and closing of the intake pipe 2 is controlled by the halved ball 3 to prevent the backflow of the water.
