PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure the amount of shear deformation with improved working efficiency. SOLUTION: A setting plate 4 is applied to a lower flange part 4 of an isolator 1, and at the same time a contacting piece is applied to the end face of the flange part, thus allowing a body of continuous length 11 to orthogonally cross the lower flange part 4. Then, a straightedge 16 is brought into contact with the end face of the upper flange part 3, thus measuring the amount of deviation of both the flange parts 3 and 4.
