PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly ensure a read function and a print function of an image, make an entire image read/write integrated head smaller and make the overall profile thinner, when the image read/write integrated head is actually used in combination with a platen roller. SOLUTION: This image read/write integrated head is provided with a substrate 4 on the same surface 40, of which light-receiving elements 60 and light- emitting elements 7 placed side by side are mounted, at least one or more light sources 5 for lighting an original D, that is in contact with a surface of a transparent board 19 and transported, image-forming lenses 21 placed opposite to the transparent board 19 to receive reflected light from the original D, and a reflection means 29 to lead the reflected light passing through the lenses 21 to the light-receiving elements 60. Each lens 21 is placed, so that its optical axis C extends parallel or nearly parallel to the surface 40 of the substrate 4, in a region opposed to the surface 40 of the substrate 4.
