Building components pressed from lime and sand mixt. and hardened in tunnels by saturated steam under pressure, are considerably improved in quality when the processing chambers are linked to >=1 sediment traps with a central overflow for the condensate steam blows tangentially into the upper zone of the trap, and the condensate is drawn off by way of a second dirt trap arranged behind the first, without wastage of steam.
