METHOD AND DEVICE FOR THREE-DIMENSIONAL DISPLAY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display an easy-to-view picture even when there are many intracorporal structures at positions differing in depth direction. SOLUTION: Pixels within a specific CT value range are extracted from a three-dimensional model only within a range that an intracorporal structure that an operator specifies is extracted and the wall surface of an intracorporal structure (e.g. the colon D) which is most on this side when viewed from a viewpoint position and another body structure right behind it (e.g. a blood vessel B running nearby the mentioned wall surface) are made translucent to generate and display a three-dimensional image in endoscope mode like an image wherein they are put one over the other. Consequently, only necessary structures can selectively be displayed, so the picture can clearly be displayed. This is useful in displaying the three-dimensional image in endoscope mode.
