PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remarkably reduce power consumption almost with a hysteresis loss and an eddy current loss hardly caused even in the case when a radial magnetic bearing is installed as a horizontal type one, extremely facilitate assembly and improve control gain. SOLUTION: A radial magnetic bearing is constituted of more than three radial electromagnetic pole groups doubly used as magnets constituted by arranging permanent magnets 26, 28 on a part cross-section of a magnetic steel plate laminated body 25 of a square shape with one side open winding a coil 30 for excitation around the circumferential direction of an axis of rotation 20 at least, a positional sensor 32 to detect a radial directional position and a control device to flow a control electric current in the coil 30 for excitation by a signal of this positional sensor, and magnetic force is balanced in the vicinity of a center of the axis of rotation 20 by changing magnetic attraction force on the static load support side and the static load non-support side.
