PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the degree of freedom of design, to eliminate variations in the weight and volume of a product, and to reduce the resonance acceleration of a spring without exerting any adverse effect on characteristics of the product by coating the spring with a plastic material and reducing the abrupt peak value of the resonance acceleration. SOLUTION: The spring 13 is coated with the plastic material 13A to reduce the resonance acceleration when the spring resonates. Consequently, the structure of this pressure regulating device is the same as a conventional known structure. In this case, the outer peripheral surface of the spring 13 is coated with the plastic material 13A such as synthetic rubber, natural rubber, and soft synthetic resin. The pressure regulating device which uses a coated spring 13 like this has almost no increase in resonance acceleration in a 1200 hertz frequency range as compared with other frequency ranges. There is no abrupt increase of abnormal sound in the 1200 hertz range.
