PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an improved photosensitive planographic printing plate capable of giving a planographic printing plate which does not cause stain at the edge parts. SOLUTION: A photosensitive layer is disposed on a substrate having a hydrophilic surface and the side faces of the resulting photosensitive planographic printing plate are coated with a desensitizing fluid containing 0.5-10 wt.% soy polysaccharides as water-soluble high molecular compounds, 1.0-30 wt.% modified starch of the formula and 0.5-3 wt.% phosphoric acid and/or phosphate to obtain the objective photosensitive planographic printing plate. In the formula, the degree of etherification (the degree of substitution) is 0.05-1.2 per one glucose unit, (n) is an integer of 3-30 and (m) is an integer of 1-3. |
