PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make formable a part having good wettability and a part having poor wettability in a single layer by forming a wettability variable layer to form pixels. SOLUTION: The color filter 1 has a wettability variable layer 3 on a transparent substrate 2, and a pixel part 4 of three colors of red(R), green(G) and blue(B) formed in the wettability variable layer 3. The wettability variable layer 3 is not especially limited as far as the surface wettability can be changed by external stimulation such as physical stimulation and chemical stimulation. The wettability variable layer 3 is a layer containing a photocatalyst which changes the wettability to decrease the contact angle with a liquid by irradiation of energy. By irradiating the layer with energy according to a pattern, wettability can be easily changed to form a region having affinity with an ink and having a small contact angle with a liquid, and for example, only the part where pixels are to be formed can be easily formed as the region having affinity with ink. |
