PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simply constituted enclosure capable of preventing the cover screwed onto the enclosure from loosening. SOLUTION: With respect to the enclosure, a cover 11 is secured thereon by screwing the cover onto the cylindrical body 12 of the enclosure. In the enclosure, an elastic ring 16 is placed in the position in which the enclosure body and the cover are opposed to each other when the cover is screwed onto the enclosure body. The screwing is prevented from loosening by making good use of the deformed elastic ring which works in such a direction as to open up the space between the body and the cover. For the enclosure, when the cover is screwed in such a direction as to close the cover, the space between the cover and the body is lessened, and the elastic ring placed between them is deformed. The deformed elastic ring works in such a direction as to open space between the cover and the body. For the reason, the faces of the engaged threads 17 and 18 are brought into hard contact with each other. As a result, contact resistance is enhanced, and the cover is prevented from loosening.
