<p>A biosensor whereby the concentration of a substrate (glucose, etc.) can be accurately measured at a high storage reliability. A process for producing a lipid-modified enzyme which involves the step of adding an enzyme to a medium containing a lipid represented by formula (1) wherein m and n are independently an integer of from 14 to 18; X?- is Cl-, Br-, I-, H¿2PO4-, HSO4- or NO¿3?-, to thereby form a lipid/enzyme complex; the step of precipitating the complex thus formed; and the step of drying the precipitate. The above-described biosensor consists of an electrode system provided with a working electrode and a counter electrode formed on an electrically insulating substrate and reaction layers formed on or around the electrode system, wherein the reaction layers have at least two layers including a layer containing the lipid-modified enzyme obtained by the above method and a layer containing an electron carrier.</p> |
