PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate mutual interference of sheet paper at a sheet paper falling area with an energy consumption as small as possible in a paper discharging device of a printing machine. SOLUTION: A sheet paper braking device 11 receives each paper sheet 3 to be processed, decelerates them to a paper discharging speed, and releases them at a sheet paper falling area 34 for forming a pile 14. A suction device having a suction function operably acting in the sheet paper falling area 34 is arranged adjacent to the sheet paper falling area 34 and it is driven by a motor. It is constituted by an air flow generating device 30 with a suction side pointed toward the sheet paper falling arra 34.
