PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct an underground structure ven if an arrival pit cannot be constructed because obstacles exist on a position where the arrival pit is constructed, attain high workability and ensure safety during execution. SOLUTION: This construction method for underground structure pressingly inserts a tubular body 6 for roof having a friction-cut member 21 on the upper portion into the ground from a starting pit and arrange it in a line, disposes an underground structure 9 on the rear part of the tubular body 6 for roof left in the starting pit, and leaves the friction-cut member 21 in the ground to advance the underground structure 9, wherein the tubular body 6 for roof is formed out of a combined body of which short divided bodies 6a are combined in a long direction, and pressingly inserted in the constructed position of the underground structure 9 without providing the arrival pit, and the tubular body 6 for roof formed out of the combined body is separated and removed sequentially from the rear divided body 6a at the position of the front end cutting edge 11 of the underground structure 9. While a space is being providing in front of the position of the front end cutting edge 11 of the underground structure 9, the underground structure 9 is advanced with an initial-push propeller jack 10 disposed on the starting pit.
