PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the reliability by surely recovering even the failure causing that a medium becomes in the unejectable state and lowering the failure ratio in the case of mounting a general purpose drive. SOLUTION: This device is provided with an accessor control part 60 provided with the function to forcedly recover the erroneous drive 36 to the normal state when the error such that the medium inserted to the drive 36 becomes unejectable, is detected. The restores the drive causing error by accessor control part 60 in the manner of disconnecting its power source and then supplying the power again. By a recovery control part 62, when the error such as unable to eject the medium of the drive 36 is detected, the drive 36 is reset and restarted by utilizing the reset function of an interface or the drive incorporated reset function.
