PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out transfer of a toner image at a good transfer efficiency by making control of transfer current fed to a transfer part unnecessary regardless of size of a recording sheet in the case of transferring the toner image to the recording sheet and to form a good transfer image where image noise such as deterioration in image density is kept down in an image forming device where an electrostatic latent image is formed on an image carrier, the above electrostatic latent image is developed by utilizing developer and made the toner image and transferring of the toner image is carried out to the recording sheet with transfer electric field. SOLUTION: In this image forming device, a part on a photoreceptor 1 corresponding to a non passing part of transfer paper in a toner image transfer part T to the transfer paper S (recording sheet) on the photoreceptor 1 is destaticized by a destaticizing device 5 before being proceeded to the transfer part T, resistance values at a transfer paper passing part and the non passing part of the transfer part T are equalized and current flown into the photoreceptor 1 at the transfer part T is made uniform in the transfer paper passing part and the non passing part of the transfer paper.
