PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric discharge machining electrode for manufacturing a hexagonal cell honeycomb extruding metal mold capable of manufacture easily in a short time and a method of manufacture of this electrode and a method of manufacture of the hexagonal cell honeycomb extruding metal mold using the electrode. SOLUTION: This electric discharge machining electrode 16, in a condition that a plurality of pipe-shaped units formed with a sectional surface external contour in a hexagonal shape are arranged with a prescribed space, is integrally formed with one end part of the pipe-shaped unit with a hold part 14 through a connection part 15. This electrode 16 is manufactured by wire cut electric discharge machining. This electrode 16 is used, a plurality of times of electric discharge machining are performed in a position moved by a prescribed distance in a direction orthogonal to an axial line of the pipe-shaped unit, and a double mountain molded groove of an extruding metal mold is worked.
